Welcome to My World! Learn to Sew with Michelle

Hi! I'm Michelle. A mom to 3 awesome adult humans, Grammy to one amazing sweet and adorable middle school boy and wife to a pretty cool guy.

I'm so lucky that I love what I do. I started an embroidery business in 2016. I have an Etsy store where I sell my embroidered items.

Over the 44 years since I learned to sew (at the Singer Sewing store in the Auburn Mall - we're talking a loooong time ago!) - I've taught many friends and family to sew. Even before my first classes, I taught myself (pre-YouTube world) how to make clothes out of old towels for my Barbie dolls. It was totally in fashion back in the 70's.

I've tried almost every craft there is - I love to sew - I always have. No matter what other craft I've gotten involved with, I always come back to my sewing machine. And I love to share my passion with others who are interested. I've taken many classes and sewn everything from doll clothes to quilts and everything in between over the years. Although I LOVE the art of embroidery - I really enjoy my regular sewing machine best.

After being asked by a friend, who is the Rec Director in the small town where I live, to teach a beginner sewing class for kids, I got really excited! I enjoyed the planning as well as the teaching.

The class went well and I received so much positive feedback and people asking if I'd teach more, that I decided to teach more!

So, here I am, I started a sewing school in March of '22 - and I couldn't be having more fun!

I'm very fortunate to have a great space in my house to be able to do it right here at home in West Boylston. I'm about a mile away from that beautiful picturesque Old Stone Church.

I hope to sew with you soon!

Michelle

Here's a sneak peek at my sewing room. It's not the room I'll teach in, but we'll use it to cut fabric and iron when needed.
